Eligibility

👉Applicants Must:

✅Be outstanding overseas Chinese students or international students who have graduated from high school or above

✅Have an interest in pursuing degree studies in Taiwan in the future

✅Already interviewed with IICD

👉 Not Eligible:

❌Applicants who already hold a PhD

❌Applicants who are currently studying or conducting research in Taiwan

 

Financial Support & Duration

💰Monthly Allowance: NTD15,000 per month

⏳Standard Duration: 2 months (Total support: NTD30,000).

🕕Internship Extension: Participants may opt to extend their internship for one additional month under the same program. Please note that the third month is fully self-funded; no additional allowance will be provided, and all expenses will be the responsibility of the applicant.

 

Program Fees (exchange rate reference: NTD:USD = 30:1.): covered by the participants

👉Administration Fee: NTD3,000 (≈USD100)
🔺Applicants are required to apply for this program as NSYSU Visiting Students and pay an administration fee. The fee is non-refundable if applicants cancel their participation for any reason.
🔺Applicants who are not enrolled at any university during their stay in Taiwan are not required to apply for NSYSU Visiting Student status and pay the administration fee.

👉Management Fee: NTD1,500~3,000 (≈USD50~100)
🔺Management fees will be charged based on the duration of enrollment. Although applicants participate only in internships and do not enroll in regular coursework, they are still required to pay these fees.
🔺Fees must be paid in cash during registration upon arrival at NSYSU.
🔺Once registration is complete, applicants will receive a student ID and gain access to the benefits available to enrolled students.

👉NSYSU Group Insurance Fee: NTD490 (≈USD16)

👉Internet Fee: NTD200~300 (≈USD7~10)

👉Health and Accident Insurance: Applicants are required to obtain health and accident insurance covering the entire duration of their stay in Taiwan before arrival.

👉Health Examination Certificate: Applicants must complete the health examination and obtain the certificate before arriving in Taiwan.

 

Estimated Personal Expenses (for reference): covered by the participants
🔺Applicants are responsible for arranging their own off-campus accommodation.
🔺The monthly allowance is intended to provide partial financial support and may not fully cover all living and personal expenses during the stay in Taiwan.

👉Living cost (excluding accommodation): NTD12,000~13,000 per month

👉Meals: NTD7,000~9,000 per month

👉Transportation: NTD500~1,500 per month

 

Application Procedure
🔺This program primarily partners with the Chennai Institute of Technology (CIT) and SRM Institute of Science & Technology (SRMIST) in India.
🔺Applicants must complete and submit all TEEP application materials at least two months before their intended arrival in Taiwan. For example, applicants planning to stay in Taiwan from September 1 to November 30 must complete the application process no later than July 1.

⭐Please complete IICD TEEP Application Form (the form below).

⭐Applicants who remain enrolled at their home university during their stay in Taiwan must also complete the NSYSU Online Application. The administration fee must be paid in this step. (Applicants who are not enrolled at any university during this period are not required to complete NSYSU Online Application.)

⭐After completing the application form, please notify us by email.

⭐Wait for the Ministry of Education (MOE) to review and approve the application (approximately one month).

⭐Upon receiving approval from MOE, IICD will provide the Professor's Invitation Letter, Approval Letter, and Approved Participant List to applicants.

⭐Applicants may then apply for a visa at the relevant overseas mission.
