Program Overview

The 1+1 Dual Degree Program provides students with the opportunity to complete their graduate studies at both SRMIST and NSYSU, gaining international academic experience in integrated circuit design and semiconductor technologies.

Students admitted to the program will study at NSYSU with tuition waived for up to two semesters, while continuing to pay tuition only to SRMIST throughout the program duration.

  • The Dorm Service Center will arrange the rooms based on students' preferences. However, when their preferences are fully booked, the Center reserves the right to assign students to another type of dorm and adjusts the dorm fees accordingly.
  • No cancellation after the submission of the application. If one insists to cancel the reservation, the full amount of the dorm fee will be charged.

The National Health Insurance Act stipulates that foreign nationals with a valid Alien Resident Certificate or Taiwan Area Resident Certificate ( including those from Hong Kong, Macau, and China) must be registered in the National Health Insurance program upon living in Taiwan for 6 months. Once you are qualified to join the NHI, OIA will inform you by email. If you have already joined the NHI program, please inform the OIA beforehand. The NHI fee will be included on the tuition fees invoice every semester. For more information, please visit National Health Insurance Administration, Ministry of Health and Welfare.



* Those who have previously studied Chinese are required to take the Placement Test at the beginning of the semester.
* The Chinese Language Center reserves the right to adjust class schedules or levels based on enrollment in each class.

* Must provide a financial statement of at least USD 4,000 or NTD 120,000 issued within three months of the application period.
* If the financial statement is not in the applicant's name, a declaration with the sponsor's signature stating the relationship with the applicant and the support for all the applicant's expenses in  Taiwan must be included.
