Seminar Course – IICD Foreign Students
Please read the following instructions carefully regarding the Seminar Course.
1️⃣Course Selection System
- Students are required to check that “Seminar” is included in their course list.
- If you fail to register for the Seminar course before the add/drop period ends, you will be responsible for any resulting consequences.
2️⃣Attendance Requirement
- Attend at least 6 seminars per semester.
- Submit one handwritten feedback report for each seminar attended.
- Prioritize attending the designated English Seminars.
- English Seminars: Please visit the following website and search for “English Seminar”: https://eentsv2.ee.nsysu.edu.tw/eehome/seminar/query_speaker.asp?utm_source=chatgpt.com
- English Seminars should be prioritized. If you are unable to complete the six-seminar requirement through English sessions offered by IICD, EE, or ICE due to course conflicts or limited availability, please prioritize English seminars offered by other departments in the College of Engineering, including:
✅Computer Science and Engineering (CSE)
✅Photonics
✅Mechanical Engineering - If you have a special reason that prevents you from attending an English Seminar, please contact the IICD office in advance by email: iicdaa@mail.nsysu.edu.tw
3️⃣PACCAS 2026
This semester, the 2026 Pan-Asian Pacific Conference on Circuits and Systems (PACCAS 2026), hosted by IICD, can also be counted toward the Seminar requirement:
- Any 2 talks attended during PACCAS 2026 can be counted as 1 Seminar.
- If you attend all 4 talks, they can be counted as 2 Seminars.

4️⃣Feedback Report
- For your first seminar: Please obtain a blank feedback report from the TA in the classroom. The report sheets for IICD, EE, and ICE seminars are interchangeable.

✅IICD Office (EC1003) - From your second seminar onward: Please pick up your feedback report from the IICD Office (EC1003) before the seminar on the day of attendance.
- For IICD, EE, and ICE seminar sessions: Submit your handwritten report to the TA in the classroom immediately after the seminar.
- For seminars held by other departments: Submit your handwritten report to the IICD Office (EC1003) by 17:00 on the same day.
- Please make sure your handwriting is clear, neat, and legible. Do not use cursive handwriting.
- Important Writing Requirements, the following will receive zero points:
❌Blank or substantially incomplete report
❌Report written by another person
❌Content copied from the Internet
❌Complete copy of the speaker's slides
❌Report copied from another student
❌Content completely unrelated to the seminar
❌Report not submitted by 17:00 on the same day
5️⃣Seminar Etiquette
- Dress appropriately: Please do not wear tank tops or flip-flops.
- Arrive on time: Please be seated before the seminar begins to avoid disrupting the speaker and other participants.
- Maintain appropriate behavior throughout the seminar as a sign of respect to the speaker.
6️⃣Scoring
Item A – Minimum Requirement
- The first 6 reports will be evaluated under Item B.
- Up to 5 additional reports may be evaluated under Item C.
Item B – First 6 seminars
- Attendance: 10 points
- Feedback report: 0–7 points
- Content: 0–4 points
- English word count: 0–3 points
English Word Count (Including punctuation)

| 61–80 words | 1 point |
| 81–100 words | 2 points |
| 101 words or more | 3 points |
Item C – Additional Seminars
Students who attend more than six seminars may receive additional points:
- Attendance: 1 point per additional seminar
- Feedback report: 0–7 points
- Up to 5 additional seminars will be counted.
If more than five additional reports are submitted, only the first five additional seminars will be counted.
