Institute of Integrated Circuit Design (IICD)

The Institute of Integrated Circuit Design (IICD) offers a fully English-taught master's program. It gives students the skills and hands-on experience they need for careers in the semiconductor industry or further research.

International Applicants Only

The qualification of international students is subject to the regulation by the Taiwan Ministry of Education, the article of international students undertaking studies in Taiwan. The regulation on applicants who have dual nationality or annulled R.O.C nationality is specified in Article 2. Please check before applying.

Admission Timelines

In NSYSU, each academic year consists of two semesters, Fall semester (September to January) and Spring semester (February to June).

Fall Admission

🔹Application submission period: January 15th ~ March 15th 2025.

🔹Admission announcement: Before June 5th 2025.

🔹Semester begins in mid-September 2025 for all admitted applicants.

Spring Admission

🔹Application submission period: August 1st ~ September 30th 2025.

🔹Admission announcement: Before December 10th 2025.

🔹Semester begins in mid-February 2026 for all admitted applicants.

Required Documents

Applicants to the IICD, must prepare the following document:

✅One photocopy of highest-level official degree certificate and official transcript in Chinese or English

✅One photocopy of financial statement in Chinese or English

✅One photocopy of the nationality (or citizenship) certificate

✅Certificate of ROC citizenship renouncement (if applicable)

✅Two (2) recommendation letters

✅Study plan (including research proposal) in English

✅Autobiography in English

✅English proficiency certificate: Minimum English proficiency: iBT-TOEFL of 61 / IELTS of 5.0 / Duolingo of 95.

Tuition fee per semester

🔹NSYSU academic year consists of two semesters (Fall & Spring).

🔹For master's students, the third academic year is regarded as an extended study.

1️⃣ Create an account:

• Use an email address to create an account at NSYSU on-line application system.
• The application system is not available all the time, but only for application period (Fall: January 15th to March 15th/ Spring: August 1st to September 30th).
• Application received after the deadline will not be processed.

2️⃣ Upload all required document

• Please complete application procedure online, upload all required document (and press "Submit". Remember to check your "Data Audit" status, and follow the comments on the page.

If any discrepancy exists between the information above and the Admission Application Guide, the Admission Application Guide prevails.
