🎓 IC Design Program

For Students from SRM Institute of Science and Technology, India

Hosted by the Institute of Integrated Circuit Design (IICD), National Sun Yat-sen University (NSYSU), Taiwan


📘 Program Introduction

This program provides SRM students with the opportunity to learn IC design through online courses offered by NSYSU IICD.

Available Courses (3 credits each):

  • IC Design for Communication Interfaces – Prof. Chua-Chin Wang <ccwang@ee.nsysu.edu.tw>
  • System-on-Chip Testing – Prof. Tong-Yu Hsieh <tyhsieh@mail.ee.nsysu.edu.tw>
  • System-on-Chip Design – Prof. Xin-Yu Shih <xyshih@mail.ee.nsysu.edu.tw>

Quota: Maximum 50 students per course.

Outcome: Students will receive a Completion Certificate and earn 3 credits after completing each course, and these credits may be waived or transferred if they apply for the NSYSU IICD Master’s Program in the future.

  • USD 250 per course (excluding textbooks, handouts, and additional materials)

📋 Application Procedure

  1. Nomination by SRM (by Aug. 25)
    • Register with your SRM contact person and provide:
      Full name, Department, Current grade/year, Date of birth, Email, Intended course(s)
  2. Online Application (by Sept. 1)
  3. Tuition Payment (by Sept. 1)
    • Pay via the NSYSU online payment system.
    • After payment, forward the payment receipt to IICD (iicdaa@mail.nsysu.edu.tw) for verification.
  4. Platform Account
    • NSYSU will send your login account and password on Sept. 8.
  5. Course Access
    • Log in to the NSYSU platform, attend lectures, and complete assignments and exams.
  6. Completion
    • Finish all course requirements by Dec. 26.

💳 Payment Information


💸 Refund Policy

  • 90% refund: Applications submitted before the course start date
  • 50% refund: Within two weeks after the course start date
  • No refund: More than two weeks after the course start date
  • All service fees related to refunds shall be borne by the students.

Q1. Can I take more than one course?

👉 Yes, you may register for up to 3 courses.

Q2. What if I fail a course?

👉 You will not receive credits and certificate for that course.

Q3. What is the language of instruction?

👉 All courses are taught in English.

Q4. What are the benefits of earning these credits?
👉 If you apply for admission to the NSYSU IICD Master’s Program in the future, you may apply for credit transfer with the earned credits.

Q5. How are the course schedule, assignments, and midterm/final exams conducted?
👉 For course schedules and assignments, please contact the course instructor or teaching assistant. Midterm and final exams will be conducted locally with SRM’s assistance.
